Privacy Policy

PocketDramas ("we", "us", "our") is a short-form video streaming service. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use our mobile app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using PocketDramas you agree to the practices described below.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, and profile picture URL when you sign in with email or Google.
• Usage data: which series and episodes you watch, where you paused, your ratings, your watchlist, and your daily check-in streak — stored to your profile so we can sync your progress across devices.
• Device data: Expo push token (for notifications), OS version, app version, and crash diagnostics.
• Billing data: for paid subscriptions, our payment processor (Paytm) handles your card / UPI details. We never see or store your full payment instrument.

2. How we use your data

• To deliver the streaming service — playback, sync, and recommendations.
• To process subscription payments through Paytm.
• To send notifications about new episodes, new series, and account updates. You can opt out at any time from the device's notification settings.
• To diagnose crashes and improve app performance.

3. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share only the minimum necessary with:

• Supabase — our hosted database and authentication provider (acts as a data processor on our behalf).
• Paytm — for subscription payment processing.
• Expo Push — to deliver push notifications.
• When required by law or to enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Children

PocketDramas is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

5. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time by writing to privacy@pocketdramas.app. You can delete your account from inside the app via Settings → Account → Delete Account.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and for up to 90 days after deletion (so we can restore an accidentally-deleted account on request). Billing records are retained for the statutory period required under Indian tax law.

7. Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Sensitive columns are stored with row-level security in Supabase. We never log or store passwords in plain text.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where changes are material, notify you in the app.
